About this app

"Agropredial" seeks to provide information regarding the aptitude of agricultural species to be a reference for investment in the short, medium and long term, allowing to promote and position both small and large producers as a competitive actor.

The main characteristic of the application is that it will provide information in an easy and intuitive way about the productive aptitude for a series of species of agricultural interest, for a current and projected climate scenario. This information has been generated by CIREN through different studies carried out in different regions of the country.

By way of methodological introduction, the productive aptitude of a species is estimated using two models, one climatic and the other soil. Both models quantify the productive response of the plant, both to climatic and edaphic conditions, calculating the climatic aptitude and the soil aptitude. Finally, the value of productive aptitude will correspond to the most limiting factor between both models. Some parameters used for both models are:

- Climate model: thermal sum, cold hours, occurrence of frost,
temperature and relative humidity.
- Soil model: texture, depth, pH, stoniness and slope.
