About this app
The app uses latest Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) published motor vehicle valuation template, published on 30th June 2020 and effective from 7th July 2020.
The app uses as default, latest motor vehicle CRSP list published on 30 June 2020. Though the user has an option to switch previous CRSP from the navigation menu on the to left of the app.
How to Use
After selecting a car type, make and model, the app will calculate total tax and levies and it provides options to add additional cost like cost of freight, inspection, insurance, port and agent fees for calculation. It provides the following information.
Age of the motor vehicle
Custom Value
Depreciation
Import Duty
Excise Value
VAT value
Import Licence (IDF) fee
Railway Development Levy
This application is not in any way associated with KRA, but merely uses a template generated by KRA and it's therefore intended to be used only as a guide and NOT an authority on taxation. Therefore the user should consult a tax profession before making any financial decisions
