Northern Europe's day butterflies are a unique and comprehensive reference work that you can have in your pocket.

The app contains detailed descriptions of the 168 day butterfly species seen in Northern Europe, from northern France in the south to Greenland in the north. The detailed texts are written by butterfly experts Lars Andersen and John Vergo and tell about everything from the species' appearance to distribution and way of life, illustrated with photos of he, she, eggs, larvae and host plants as well as flight time schedules and distribution maps. On the 31 comparison boards, the confusion possibilities of different species are equated, and the special characteristics of the species are identified and described with an unprecedented precision of over 300 photos with arrow references and associated texts.

For each species, it is possible to write notes and attach observations of the species to a tour list, so that you can keep track of the day's observations and even share them with others via text message, email or social media. The app does not require an internet connection and therefore also works in the field.

The search function makes it easy to find a given species based on criteria such as size, colors and wing shape, which makes it easy to find and determine the species that you saw on the go.
