Ratings and reviews

Inaccurate. This app will read a code, even before you have the full code in the view finder, thus giving false results, from a partial image of the code. I had 3 different readings from the same, very clear code. This has not happened with any other of the QR / barcode scanner apps that I have tried.

It used to work fine on my tablet. It was fast and effiecient. However, today I tried to use it and there is a red line going through the scan area. It will not scan at all and there are no settings I can change to fix it. I have cleared the cache in the app, restarted, uninstalled and reinstalled. Even after a full reinstall the red line is there. The line is app specific, it doesn't appear anywhere else on my tablet.

The app worked brilliantly when I tried it last year, and I was impressed! It lets you scan but also generate QR Codes for contacts which is any day better than using troublesome NFC cards, that further require NFC, which most budget phones don't have. Moreover, it keeps a record of all the codes, if you want. The thing is that the camera app in my Motorola phone has been updated with the Google Lens and I no longer require an additional app to scan the QR Codes, but still worth for the extras.
