The app has been useful, though it has inconsistent and frustrating behaviors. It has changed its alert sounds on its own, twice. The feature to upgrade the camera firmware does not work at all. Setting the areas for the camera to ignore are frustrating and inaccurate. On the other hand, the video download tool works great. So after struggling with the app for weeks and finally getting the video you want, you can easily pick just the right excerpt for sharing.

Cameras, system,and client function great, Network connection ISN'T. Both the phone app and desktop client lose connection FREQUENTLY with the NVRs/Cameras. It's so frustrating. I had all of the systems installed by different professional surveillance camera installers. Every system does it. And it got worse with each successive firmware and client update.. Of course, they blame 6 different internet networks and not their product, but whatever. Surveillance tech says it's not the networks.

Works well with one catch, the cloud based services are not encrypted and do not have a high level of security for your privacy. If you use Reolink NVR for local use, this isn't a issue; however, for their cloud based services, just be aware that they do not provide secure communication between the cameras, the app, and the cloud storage.
