You earn lots of free coins by unlocking achievements and by visiting each day for your free coin allowance. In Premium, you do not use coins to unlock content because all content is already unlocked and new content will also be unlocked as we ship it. For those of you who have played our other games, "Coins" in Premium take the place of what we call "Luck" in some of our other games.

Ratings and reviews

So far I have only played The Oregon Trail, but I genuinely enjoyed it. Naturally, I noticed in passing, a few typos and errors in the writing, which is just second nature for my brain. I look forward to playing through more of these stories! Not having multiple save slots per book/story is certainly something I find a oversight, that really should be implemented. I understand that it's lack is likely a tactic to get people to play through each story from start to finish, but that sucks.

In the 3rd chapter of the wizard story, so far it's good. That said, I got it through play pass; I would never have tried it otherwise for to the price. Would I pay full price now that I tried it?... No, the price tag is far too high for a mobile app; however, provided it continues to not collect data for marketing, I'd consider perhaps half price.

After having gone through a good number of books, I have to rescind my original review and rating. There is really only the illusion of choice; there's really only one story, one outcome. It's just trial-and-error until you find the way you're supposed ro go. Worse is that on top of the $30 price, they also expect extra payments for "coins" that let you backtrack. They're already getting your money for basically an interactive novel. Asking for more money just to make it usable is dirty pool.
