Nosh is owned by local restaurants and its mission is to support independent restaurants, provide second-to-none customer service, and keep the local economy strong. Nosh is owned and operated by local restaurant owners who came together to offer an alternative to the national for-profit food delivery companies that dominate the market. At Nosh, we strive to:

MAKE DELIVERY AFFORDABLE AND SUSTAINABLE

Most consumers do not know, but food delivery is very expensive to restaurants. Margins in the restaurant industry are very thin, and the commission rates national delivery companies charge is much higher than most independents' profit margins. In places like New York city, third-party food delivery has put many small restaurants out of business. We love our restaurants, and we want them to thrive so they can continue to offer great food and service to our community. For that reason, we keep commission rates charged to restaurants as low as possible.

FOCUS ON CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE

Food delivery is a complex and challenging logistics system. There are many pieces to the puzzle, and they all must perfectly attach to one another. At Nosh, we know that even when we strive to give customers the best possible delivery experience, mistakes will eventually be made. For us, it's all about making it right, and if we make a mistake, bending backwards to then make it right. We respect our customers, and as restaurant owners, we want them to be as satisfied with delivery as they are when they come into one of our restaurants.

Large national third-party food delivery companies have made millions of dollars by exploring the dining market in communities around the country. Most of this money goes back to the companies' headquarters and the pockets of the venture capitalists who funded them. At Nosh, we believe in supporting local restaurants by returning control to food delivery back to them, and by keeping local dollars in the community.

This service is EXTREMELY DIFFICULT to use. The app isn't great, the "preferred" restaurants list isn't clear, attempts to use a discount the app declines it. Full menus not available, orders arrive cold and/or smashed. It is more expensive than menu items in restaurant, and there are 3 other fees before you get a tip option. It's unfortunate, as the idea of supporting local is a good "sounding" mantra. The support link just loops one back to the order screen from the app and website.

I ment to tip my driver. It was automatically set to 20% Then the app needed me to make an account before finishing payment. It saved everything except for the tip. I didn't think to check it. Turns out, I ordered it with the tip set to 0. Not sure why it works that way. But you guys need to fix that. That's just wrong. With DoorDash, I'm able to add to the tip even after delivery. Your drivers deserve better. And I'll be using DoorDash until there is a permanent solution.

It can be really buggie, like tonight,we were trying to order for small business Saturday but every store says they are not taking orders. So we door dashed. I Uninstalled the app a couple months ago due to this, used it about a week ago successfully. But again tonight no orders went thru. It's a great idea but when it doesn't work a lot of the time it's really disappointing
