I'm a beginner at German and so far this has been really helpful with pronunciation, however a significant drawback is that there's no way to scrub/rewind the recordings. If you miss a particular phrase or want to re-listen to a specific part of an exercise, you have to restart the entire recording and wait for it to catch up to that spot. It's pretty frustrating and inefficient to learn this way, and I hope that this gets amended because otherwise this app is great for my learning style.

Useless as support for the book which I bought specifically because it claimed audio support. Bit of con really. The audio for the Portuguese will not download and there's just a spinning widget when i click on "help". I don't want to have to be online all the time to use the app. Edit: judging by other reviews, DK don't give a toss about this.

Started badly and didn't improve. The download didn't work. It's a known problem but no solution has been provided. I clicked Help, that just whirled away doing absolutely nothing. The app is a series of sounds showing how words should be spoken. There is pause button dangerously close to the replay (from the beginning) button. There is no button to rewind a little. With no assessment of your ability to pronounce words correctly the app is inferior to other free apps.
