About this app

** Disclaimer: This app does not represent any government entity. **

Incidents data source for the app comes from the City of Portland, Oregon's 911 system . For more detailed information about the data visit the Portland Police Department website at https://www.portland.gov/police/open-data/police-dispatched-calls. (Note: the source data web site are only accessible from the USA)

Users can monitor the City of Portland, Oregon's Police 911 Dispatch Incidents using this app. The most recent, closed, non-confidential calls for service received by the City of Portland's 911 system can be viewed as a text list, on a map as icons or heat map. Examples of incidents include burglary, accident, fire, assault, drugs, death, and many more. Incident details can be viewed by touching an item on the list or a marker on the map display. A function is available to easily filter away unwanted incidents from the list or map by labels. Other functions include distance measurements and radial buffers. The app allows the user to send the incident location to Google Maps for better visualization of the 911 incident environment.

The concept of the app is great! I love that someone decided to make an app like this but just like any app there are a few things that could improve. For instance: Some of the details on the incidents, like the time/date. Its hard to read cause it's kinda bunched in there all together and plus it's in military time {and for someone who hasn't/doesn't ever use military time awhole lot,(Atleast for me) it's somewhat hard to read}. There are a few other things but not enough room on here to write

it's okay it seems to have the same data as x Twitter as far as the call history and it seems that it doesn't go before the current day I'm unable to find anything but the same day as I'm looking if it had previous DayZ or a history going back further that would be great not sure how accurate the times are cuz I haven't crossed reference damn with another source also only shows 911 calls not all dispatched calls to service

Really GREAT idea!!! Very accurate!! Wish it was a little more up to speed and maybe had the scanner recording of when they were dispatched and what ever details involving the situation but I dunno how hard that would be to do so with way to whom ever made the app great idea, great work!!! 👍👍👍
