HEALTHY EDGE MOBILE Provides you with the ability to view and track your weight and body fat / body composition data from your Tanita wireless scale using Bluetooth Low Energy or WiFi (when used with the Tanita WiFi Network Adapter). You can also record measurements from your Bluetooth equipped Tanita activity monitor.

Monitoring the changes that take place within your body is the best way to determine the effectiveness of your diet and exercise activities. Weight alone is a poor indicator of health and fitness. Analyzing your body composition is the best solution. Knowing how much of your weight is body fat, muscle mass, water, and/or bone is the secret to reaching your goals.

When used with a wireless Tanita scale and Bluetooth Low Energy (such as the the RD-901 Plus) or WiFi (such as the BC-1500, BC-1000 or BF-2000 with the Tanita WiFi Network Adapter), Healthy Edge Mobile records body composition results – weight, body fat%, body water%, muscle mass, bone mass, daily caloric intake, metabolic age, visceral fat, and physique rating. Your data is wirelessly transmitted via Bluetooth or WiFi to your Android product.

Healthy Edge Mobile can also communicate with your Bluetooth Low Energy activity monitor (such as the AM-161), allowing you to see your steps and calories burned throughout the day.

Ratings and reviews

Excellent scale. Terrible app. They seem to develop their app for European and Australian customers, but the US version hasn't been updated in a year and will not data sync with third party apps (no Google Fit, no Polar, no Garmin, no MyFitnessPal, no Kamoot, no Strava). Please make this syncable to Android Health Connect! You have the best scale on the market, but you have the worst app; it doesn't export the data.

I am a personal trainer and fitness coach at a gym where we use the Tanita RD-545 Ironman scale. The scale works great but not this app!! The app has a lot of problems connecting to the scale. Many clients can never connect the app to the scale. We have contacted customer service and they are no help!!! They tell us there is nothing they can do to help. So frustrating!!!

Not the most intuitive but if you read directions it works just fine. I set up both my wife and my own and it works and records measurements every time we tried. The app does come pre-loaded with measurements. It says it right in the directions and there's an option in settings to clear out all measurements before you start. As for the app, it does need a lot of work. The graphs aren't very capable. The measurements are fine but they cut off text so some aren't readable.
