The “City Islamabad App” is the government service provider smart phone mobile application, developed exclusively for the citizens of Islamabad. The app bridges the gap between citizens and government departments by offering regulatory, consumer utilities and statutory services. At present, it has 7 sections and 44 services. The sections include e-police, Excise and Taxation, Capital Development Authority/Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad, City Guide, ICT Administration, Notifications, and featured services with multiple services like Domicile Certificate, International Driving Permit, Corruption, Accident, Token Tax Payment, Emergency Numbers and Vehicle Registration, within each section.

While entering the date of birth, a calendar appears. If someone was born in 1951, just imagine how many times one has to click the bring that year in front month by month. Very tedious and time consuming. Same is true when one enters the date of issue of the CNIC. There are easier and quicker methods available to enter the date, month and year. I would suggest to change this method. Otherwise it is very useful application of course. The idea is great.

My medium rating of this app is based on a very particular requirement that I, along with many other people (presumably), have had for many months now. The vehicle ownership transfer process. I understand it's not the app's fault, but what's the point of only being able to view the progress of vehicle transfer? Users can not initiate vehicle transfers. Seeing the large crowds gathering at ETO during the pandemic, should be enough of a reason to finally introduce this badly needed feature.Thanks

Overall I think application is in development phase. There is no option for tracking of any complaint and giving any feedback for the application. Further more the application response time is slow and there is some glitches also. I have raised the application 2 times today but in uploading of pics there is showing response time error. Thanks.
