About this app

Ubipix is a powerful, yet lightweight free App, which combines your multimedia (video or photos) with GPS, which can then overlaid on satellite imagery, Web maps or in ArcGIS applications.

The Ubipix App is intuitive and easy to use, enabling full motion video and images, together with tags & GPS to be recorded. These geocoded clips can be uploaded in near real-time and shared instantly through Ubipix's automated publishing engine & social network channels. The end-result is a totally interactive experience that can be shared with friends, family, colleagues, clients, or a wider audience, using a powerful array of integrated mapping, multimedia and tagging technologies.

Users:
Consumer- For sports and leisure participants, instructors, event organisers, route planners and marketing of leisure sports and outdoor adventures, including motor (track and off-road), winter sports, bike, parachuting, base jumping, sailing etc.

Transportation- For maintenance engineers, safety inspectors, asset managers, planners, environmental specialists involved in managing road & railway transportation networks. Ubipix can be used for road safety inspection, travel time surveys, route planning, network maintenance, scheme upgrade, asset monitoring, footpath audits, defect inspection and project monitoring.

Utilities- For maintenance engineers, safety inspectors, asset managers, planners, environmental specialists involved in managing utility networks such as electricity, pipelines, telephone and mobile networks etc.

Environment- For environmental consultants, environmental risk assessors, insurance, and legal companies in addition to Government bodies such as river and fisheries Boards, national parks, environmental protection agencies, involved in managing and monitoring impacts on species and habitats, in both terrestrial and aquatic environments. Ubipix can be used routinely for constraints assessments, habitat monitoring, oil spill and pollution response, climate change and particulate monitoring, disaster management, habitat change, environmental and pollution control and environmental survey.
