Good app for seeing where people are. The settings for the map are quite limited (ie: cant set colors used, only get green and very slightly less green for travel) but it does its job well.
Used to be very unreliable, has gotten better over the years. When it works, it's really handy, but sometimes, the location of the sender gets stuck at a specific location. Or, it could be as much as 5 minutes behind ... Defeating the whole purpose for why the app exists in the first place.
I'd love to give Glympse a 5 star rating, like I did on the AppStore, but having switched to Android recently its blatantly obvious which side gets the most attention. 1. Tags - These don't persist on the quick list, even when you use the "Add Tag" button. On iOS the tags for all recently use are quickly available. Yes, you can find them in recipients, but iOS is much more convenient. 2. No Tell Others - There's no way to share to a tag, then get a link to that tag to send to other people. If you try through clicking, you get a personal link which people can't add themselves to. There's other points that are less painful, but these two are the most significant for me. And without them, I can't give more than "Just OK". If I didn't have the iOS experience, I'd probably give more, but when you give one side additional tools, the other feels lacking.
I saw 4.5 ratings and installed the app. But this app is huge disappointment. It sends SMS everytime for sharing location which can remain active only for 15 mins. To the developers of this app - Please have some practicality.
A bit unintuitive (check who you want to send to ... Then tap back???) and sometimes a bit buggy (won't open received glympses in the app every time) but works damn well 95% of the time once you figure it out
Very confusing. Accepted group invites make multiple groups with the same name, only to have to pick one. And partial groups appear and dissappear, randomly and intermittently. This has the potential to be a great app. BUT, it needs work. It's as if this is a Beta version of a program that is soon to be released.
