Managing the complex process of IT security requires security management, which is responsible for both the development of a technical infrastructure (firewalls, intrusion detection systems, etc.) and organizational measures (security policy, selection of security measures, etc.) to ensure IT security.

The course provides a step-by-step introduction to the topic of IT security with detailed explanations and understandable examples. Therefore, even those with limited prior knowledge or experience in IT security can get started.

The goal of the course is to develop a solid understanding of IT security processes. You will acquire the necessary knowledge to establish effective security management within your own company or organization.

The written exam can be taken online or at a FernUniversität Hagen campus location of your choice. Upon passing the exam, you will receive a university certificate. Students can also have earned ECTS credits certified for a Certificate of Basic Studies.
