This is an awesome app and it's crazy that it's only currently at 2.5 stars. For the price of a library card (free), you get access to lots of copyrighted material, for free. It's easy to get a library card, but you have to get used to being in a new kind of space. Some of this content is hard to come by. I think it should be appreciated, it's great.

Despite Kanopy claiming that it's a free app it is not. It requires your library card and it requires tickets. Tickets are two per movie and five per series. If you use all your tickets then you have to wait until the month. As others have said the app will freeze and when it does it will freeze your TV as well. There are some good movies on here but not enough to justify using this app.

Works well enough. most of the time, but there are certain movies where the TV app crashes immediately upon beginning playback. There doesn't seem to be a mechanism to send feedback or crash logs from a Chromecast device, so I'm not sure how this will ever get fixed.
