I love the concept of Hoopla but the Android version is nearly unusable for audiobooks because it's so unstable. It continuously freezes up and stutters when used with a Bluetooth device. It is somewhat more stable on iOS so I use an old iPhone when I am driving or using my headphones.
It would be a great service if it actually worked. I've only been able to use it once. Since, it keeps saying my library card is expired but it's not. No one can help me at the library or the email service. I'm very disappointed. =(
Bugs galore. Playback often can't / won't resume after pausing. Audio skips when connected to Bluetooth (when other apps work fine). Audiobooks don't seem to work with Chromecast. bookmarking limited to 5 or so bookmarks, no note taking available.
It's okay. I stopped using about 7 months ago due to poor author and title selection. today not much has changed, not one title or author I searched retrieved any results. Definitely need more current and popular titles and authors
I'm glad my local library is linked to this handy, free service. They have a great selection including some new titles. The only flaw that was annoying was the audio book player would skip so often on my Galaxy Light, even on WiFi. I recently upgraded to a Galaxy S6 and it's no longer an issue.
Why does it keep playing after I've closed the app? And it keeps getting stuck and not.playing
Minor bug fixes.
