What an incredibly addictive game! I couldn't put this down for a few weeks until I cleared it. It's a sort of idle/active hybrid, where you watch numbers go up, but progress does come quickly enough that you can play actively. The gameplay loop is delicious, and the most strategy-focused idle-like I've played ever. Beating harder bosses balances gearing up and smart tactics. Combat can be active or passive depending on how you set up. Story is really good. A lot of thought went into it.

1. Play this game if you like incremental games, 2. Gosh the UI is the biggest hurdle for this gem. Its a minor thing but its over and over again. I can't give you less than 5 stars for the brilliant systems that build on each other in an amazing way, but I really want to dock a couple for just how annoying it is to switch builds, retire, or explore synergies.

Absolutely wonderful, I've put an ungodly amount of hours into this game... 100%'d the game, and on my second playthough now. Tiny spoilers ahead! The two main complaints I have are these: Familiars are not given enough love & having enemies that one-shot instakill them (I.e. A Mysterious Woods enemy) is very cheesy. The other is that it's very difficult to change whole builds at once... Synchro, then spellcraft, then gear, then spells, then pouch items (not synced with build?), then... etc.
