About Cryptograms:

A cryptogram is an encoded statement that requires a degree of strategy to decode. The cryptograms found in this puzzle game use a 1-to-1 substitution cipher. For example all of the letter N’s in a cryptogram might stand for the letter B in the decrypted statement. Aside from letters nothing else in the statement has been changed, e.g. spacing and punctuation. In the case of this puzzle game all statements are quotes from relatively famous to very famous individuals. Using your knowledge of the English language and grammar, see if you can decrypt the quote!

Cryptograms based on quotes are also commonly called cryptoquotes. The cryptoquotes found in this puzzle game are a mix of modern and historical quotes.

I love cryptograms. It makes me think about what word would fit there and helps me with my spelling. UPDATE: I wish It had a dark mode for night play. Sometimes I have a little difficulty selecting the letters. It is extremely difficult to see what the incorrect letter is when using the Check function. If I look really hard I can just barely see the darker letters. An obvious way of highlighting them would have been a lot better.

I used to LOVE doing cryptaquotes in our local news paper as a kid. My dad and I would challenge each other to see who could solve it faster, so it brings back great memories. This app is challenging and fun. Also easier to do than writing it out and having to erase any words you're trying to work out and any errors you catch. I also like that you can easily share the quotes. Definitely worth it.

Update: installed on an older phone lg v20 and the keyboard disappears when the ads pop up. So unusable. Previous review:I love that there are no points. No hints. No pre filled in spots. Just simply a cryptogram that you have to figure out all on your own. It's a real challenge not a gimmicky tricky app that tries to addict you with fake incentives.
