日本語を勉強します。4.5* I've been using this for almost 2 months. The blended format is well done. The aesthetics are friendly and open; I like how the vocab mixes in the grammar. Love the vid clips! That said, and although there are some benefits to their style, this isn't JLPT friendly. They'll give you an N5 word, but the Kanji is of a higher level. Some using Kanji that aren't Jōyō at all. While there are great grammar explanations, some of it's unnecessarily convoluted. y of x used instead of x's y.

I was a bit skeptical of this app, but it's actually really good! It reminds me a lot of Duo before it got all flashy and always yelling at you to subscribe. This one barely tells you to sub, and gives a lot for free. I really do enjoy the kanji lessons here, I think they're well done. However, I really can't stomach the thought of paying such a high priced subscription for a single app. I wish I could just buy the kanji part or individual collections separately and keep them forever.

honestly, I've used many and currently use multiple apps, in this struggle of self study. this is the absolute first time I genuinely want to recommend an app and not only that, I get kinda excited about my study time. I actually feel like I'm learning. the practice of listening to real speakers and a chance to read and put together real life sentences. I was jumping up and down the first time I read and understood what I read from the Manga in the app. 5 stars easily
