A short vibration of the smartphone, the bus driver looks at the display and sees his next planned assignment. He can confirm it with one click and thus give feedback to the dispatcher in the company.
This simplified communication accompanies the driver and the dispatcher through all steps of the assignment. When the driver starts work and makes his way to the customer, he informs the dispatcher about the start and end of the journey.
Brand new to this version of the app is its offline mode. If the driver is in a radio dead spot, the exact position is still recorded and fed into the system as soon as the network connection is restored. This is a key advantage that saves time and work.
The FIS app is also perfect for backtracking. The driver can use it to keep his logbook and enter the kilometers driven - data that later forms the basis for billing and can be further processed in the rental traffic module and in the tourism programs of RATIOWw and TouPac.
Another function of the FIS app is the chat, with which the driver and dispatcher can keep up to date. The chat can be used like a notebook, because there is a separate chat room for each trip. This means that any incidents can be found and documented immediately afterwards.
The driver has the option of adapting the display of the deployment list and the chat to his or her wishes. For example, he can only display the daily operations and news and leave the others hidden.
