This app was my choice over about 20 others for some time, but it recently introduced a dark pattern into the interface: Where before you could easily dismiss the ad by clicking on a decent-sized "Continue to app" button, now the button is SO SMALL that it tricks you into clicking on an ad YOU DON'T WANT TO CLICK ON. Uninstalling now. Sad. The Simple Apps is now The Aggravating Apps.

The ads are loud videos that play automatically with the sound on. Even if you turn the sound off, the app does not remember your settings and the next time an ad shows it plays a very loud ad. This is extremely annoying in a quiet office environment. I understand the need for developers to use ads. But having ads play extremely loud obnoxious videos automatically with no way to turn it off is unacceptable.

This is for the rating as of the newest update to date App still works fine, and I get the need for revenue, but ads pop up so frequently and without warning now that it makes it challenging to even write consistently. Again, I enjoy the app, and the banner is completely fine to me, but with the new update randomly popping up ads for me, it makes it very hard to rate this higher then 3 stars
