Editing this review a third time because this app is finally back to the greatness it used to be. Notifications seem to be reliable again. I'm ecstatic! During the time this app wasn't working properly, I searched high and low to find an adequate replacement and there isn't one. This app is singular. I wish I could give 10 stars.

Thanks for keeping this app alive! This has been my go to breaking news app for years now. I would like to see an option to remove adds and a darker night theme (I feel the black text on gray background isn't very pleasant to read---the previous version of this app had a completely dark background which worked better). Still, if you're looking for a lightweight but powerful news app with a good amount of sources look no further!

this is just what I needed: instant push headline news notification from multiple choice sources. brief and efficient. Update 9/10/24: apparently push notifications are no longer working, significantly reducing functionality and timeliness of the app. It still has the news, but it just works as a headline aggregator now, need to find a replacement. Considering lack of updates since 2022 this should have been expected.
