About this app

CieSign is the app developed by the Italian State Printing Office and Mint for advanced electronic signature (AES) with the Electronic Identity Card (CIE) and devices equipped with an NFC interface.
Article 61 of the Prime Ministerial Decree of February 22, 2013, permits the use of the CIE as an advanced electronic signature tool for public administration services and activities.
The CIE, widely used as a strong identification method for authentication for public administration services, fully meets the minimum requirements established for the AES and can also be used as an electronic signature tool between private individuals within the limits of the law.
When you launch the app for the first time, register your CIE by entering your PIN and holding the card close to your device.
From now on, a guided procedure will allow you to easily sign your electronic documents whenever you want:
- SELECT the document and the type of signature you want to use
- ENTER the last 4 digits of your CIE PIN (or activate the biometric recognition mode you've chosen)
- HOLD the CIE to your device
- SHARE the signed document via email, messaging app, or cloud storage
You can also add your graphic signature and verify the signature on the documents.
Remember: the first part of the PIN is provided to you by the Municipality when you request the CIE; the second part is delivered with the Card.

Non funziona. The CIE card is never registered. I have tried for hours to register it. It always says " Registrazione carta in corso". Checked PIN several times. And also uninstalled and installed again the app. Nothing works.

The app kinda does it job and I am able to sign pdfs. However: - area selected for signing in the previous differs from the actual outcome (is shifted upwards) - it is not possible to move the signature beyond the sixth page of a pdf

Permission issue (no storage permission, impossible to save signed documents). Graphical signature position missmatch on some portrait documents. Signature flow for cades and pades ok. Please check for android > 10 storage permission issue
