About this app

The Momento Dash Cam Viewer app allows drivers to review, edit, and download video recorded on their Wi-Fi enabled Momento dash cameras. To use this application, please confirm that you have the following dash camera systems installed on your vehicle:

• Momento M6 MD-6200

Use the Momento Dash Cam Viewer app for any of the following:
• Recording trips and exciting moments on the road
• Exporting video recorded from an accident or collision
• Sharing driving footage on social media (Facebook)

How It Works:
Wi-Fi enabled Momento dash cameras broadcast a “Wi-Fi hotspot”, which is accessible within ~10 meters of your vehicle. Open the Momento Dash Cam Viewer app to review video that is recorded and stored on the camera’s micro-SD card.

Important note: Momento dash cameras do NOT upload your video footage to any type of online, or “cloud” storage. All of your video footage is stored locally on the micro-SD card and is accessible within ~10 meters. That means – no storage or subscription fees!

Features:
• High-definition video recordings
• Driving and parking modes record everything that happens around your vehicle
• GPS + speed antennae for reviewing speed and location of each recording
• Built-in shock sensors for detecting vehicle impact
• Motion sensors, which activate during parking mode
• 32GB of storage (upgradeable on the camera)

If you are having trouble connecting to your M6, please try the following:
Step 1. Enable Airplane Mode.
Step 2. Forget any existing/saved M6 Wi-Fi Network.
Step 3. Reconnect to the M6 network using the password.
Step 4. If Applicable, select "Connect only this time" at the internet availability prompt.
Step 5. In case a different option was selected in step 4, repeat steps 1-4.

Installed the app on phone and tablet. Wifi is clearly connected. It tells me it's connected, yet the app keeps bringing me back to the "connect to device" option. Over and over again. When I select cancel and select live viewer, it says M6 not connected. I hope the front and rear dash cameras work better than the app, which doesn't work at all. The shop where my cameras were installed told me to use the app. Judging from other reviews, not surprised it doesn't work

Far too many dollars for this experience. Audio and video of the device are good. The app is a nightmare. I've had to download one incident five times, set it up to take the clip (after a 5 min download) and it doesn't work. The only way I can get it to work is to DL the entire clip and move it to an editing app. And EVERYTHING the app does is incredibly slow. I need another cera for another vehicle and I'll be looking elsewhere.

No good: There should be an internal battery that deals with issues when power is cut, like WIFI connection, parking monitoring, etc. Heck, the battery could even be designed to be seperate from recorder to last several hours and keep WIFI on for 1 or 2 hours. Instead, we have to sit in a running car to view and download recordings? Next issue is that my phone connects to a dedicated hotspot when I arrive at my destinations. The cam should have the option to auto connect to the same networks.

Thank you for the feedback. Unfortunately the M6 does not have a battery backup system to keep Wi-Fi on. You can also remove the micro SD card and view files directly on your Mac or PC using the Momento Viewer. The viewer can be downloaded here: https://www.momentocam.com/resources
