I think I've settled on this as my main app for learning go. It's reasonably complete and works well. The easiest level against the computer feels pretty tough, like a 1500 ELO game of chess against a strong engine, which would be hard for beginners. It would be nice to have easier levels to make it comprable to other games, or for relaxing after dinner etc. There are some fairly easy tsumego exercises to warm up with. I like to have a real board and stones out to study as I play.

I love this app. I'm surprised by it's features as I discover them. It has a nice database of past professional games (about 20,000 games), and it also allows you to download this joseki dictionary with commentary and everything. It uses GNUGo, which is no slouch to play against, GNUGo can be RUTHLESS, perfect opponent to train against. If you choose this app l, you won't be sorry. I have several Go/Baduk apps, and this is one of my favorites. You can also connect to Pandaney/IGS.

Great app. In my opinion it's absolutely worth the money. But there are a couple of things that can make it a little more usable, as it seems to me: - there are no statistics and game history. I think it would be convenient for assessing your progress. - there is a night theme for the board, but not for the UI
