The Nuraxi SABA Study app is the official tool for participating in the SABA – Sardinian Aging Biomarkers Analysis study, a research project funded under the PNRR Spoke 01 Cascade Call, Mission 4 "Education and Research" – Component 2 "From Research to Business" – Investment Line 1.5.

Health and Wellness Features

1. Research on Human Subjects
The SABA app is part of an observational study approved by the Bioethics Committee of the University of Pisa (Resolution No. 48/2025), as part of a scientific project co-funded by the PNRR. Users participate voluntarily by providing data via questionnaires and, optionally, via wearable devices. Data is collected anonymously and aggregated for exclusively scientific purposes.

2. Physical Activity and Fitness
Through optional integration with wearable devices, the app can detect data such as step count, movement, and level of sedentary behavior. This information supports personal lifestyle monitoring and is used only with the user's activation and consent.

3. Nutrition and Weight Management
Some app questionnaires include questions about eating habits and self-perception of weight, in order to collect data relevant to the scientific analysis of lifestyle habits. However, the app does not provide nutritional advice, calorie counting, or direct weight management.

4. Stress Management, Relaxation, and Mental Acuity
The app includes tools for self-assessment of stress, mental well-being, and vitality through questionnaires and a personal diary. Users can record sensations, thoughts, and emotions to promote awareness and reflection, without therapeutic or diagnostic purposes.

5. Disease and Condition Management
SABA does not clinically manage any disease, but some questionnaires may include questions related to symptoms or general conditions (e.g., perceived pain, self-rated health status), collected exclusively for observational research purposes and anonymously. No diagnoses, treatment plans, or clinical monitoring functions are provided.
