About this app

This plugin for Solid Explorer lets you access files stored on USB drives or card readers on Nexus devices. Minimum required version of Solid Explorer is 2.0. If your device already supports mounting OTG drives, you don't need this plugin.

Please note that Nexus devices running Android 6 have now built in support for FAT formatted USB drives, so Solid Explorer will work with them without this plugin.

All nexus phones and tablets with USB host capabilities are supported (Nexus 4 may not be supported without a custom kernel). You may also want to use this plugin on other devices with USB host in case they don't mount file systems out of the box.

Supported file systems:
- FAT32
- exFAT
- NTFS in read only mode

Features:
- full read/write access (except NTFS)
- media streaming - play music and videos on third party players, even on the Chromecast
- supports hard drives with external power supply

This plugin doesn't require root. In case of any problems, please use the "Send bug report" option under application's "About" section.

"This app is available only for your other devices" I can't use solid explorer anymore for external USB's because this otg plug in app hasn't been updated to work with the newest android OS. please modernize the API, barring the fact that I've bought all your apps to support my favorite developer, I REALLY don't want to have to move on from using solid explorer all together.

This plug-in works beautifully on my pixel 3a. Used it to read exFat sd cards to copy images and videos. However, I refunded my purchase and uninstalled since the transfer speeds were so so so slow. 2min to transfer one RAW photo (23mb). Speeds around 100-200kbps. I bought USB media explorer for $4 and it's 3mbs, much faster even though the UI is meh. If they fix the transfer speeds, I'll gladly buy again.

Having issues with Samsung T5 2GB drive where I have to dismount drive (says error can't read volume) and /force close app before it will work. Works as intended after that. Behaved this day with drive fresh out of the box and subsequently. 2 stars to draw attention to this as I don't feel like the support site adequately addresses critical failures. Fine for feature suggestions. Wish it had a feature to automatically pause if cord shorts or drive disconnects mid-transfer. Like buffer 5MB.
