About this app

With the authentication.gov.pt application, citizens can activate the Digital Mobile Key (CMD) with a video-selfie and validating their citizen card.
In this application, you can also generate a temporary security code, or use biometric validation from your mobile phone, as an alternative to the SMS code, to authenticate yourself with CMD in public or private portals.
It also has a service for managing access authorizations to your data and signing documents.

I had no trouble whatsoever with the app. It just took me 10 mins max. I had booked for a video call, and the lady was absolutely sweet and very, very helpful. She guided me through the whole process while I was on the call, and it was done. A friend of mine is having trouble registering with iPhone, and I think probably most of the users with negative comments might be facing the same issue. The best is to book a video call and get help!!

Unable to scan the card even with perfect studio lighting and very high quality camera (Poco X3 Pro). Tried dozens of times. "Vergonha".

It's so difficult to access and then once you've gone through all the stages it says your code is wrong but there isn't a way for you to make a new code. Where is the section for 'forgot code'. They don't even email you to say if you have been successful in authenticating your id.
