About the permissions
- Primary purpose of this game is to load your own SM/DWI/SMZIP files so you can play your favorite Stepmania/DDR songs on the go.

- "Read from external storage" permission is required to read Stepmania chart data and songs (user defined levels) from user folder outside of games default folder as this are previously downloaded by user from external sites (similar to Movies read by Movie player).

- "Write to external storage" - because song packs are often downloaded in form of "smzip" files - this permission is required so that BeatX can unzip this song packs to user storage device to be used by the game without external "zip" capable application

Oh my goodness. Though it takes a bit of technical know-how, and a bit of preparation, I can actually play import files. That means Every Song is now available. That also means DDR mixes are on Mobile 🔥 That Also also means I can make my own step charts and play them on Mobile too? 🤯 My only gripe so far after a week is the lack of Song Speed options, and the lack of Metronome for training purposes. But other than those, this app is a solid app.

This game helps me review and practice ddr charts before i put credits in the cabinet, its an invaluable tool for all ddr players! 9/19/2018 - Latest update I've been having issues with the app crashing at opening, and during song selection. sometimes the song will cut out during play and misalign with the chart. Please review and fix. Thanks!

So I downloaded this and played with my fingers, loved it. Then I turned on my bluetooth controller (ps4) . Now I cant stop playing. I bought a fanny pack to carry my controller around so I can always play. The delay is finicky but it is extremely fixable in the settings. Also some maps are done horribly. Speaking of which, you can just download stepmania songs for the game it's so easy. I have thousands of songs and it only took an hour of time to collect them. This is the most fun app.
