About this app

The News Minute is a digital-only media organisation and south India’s leading English digital news publisher. Since our inception in 2014 with the aim of reporting about south India, from south India, we have created a niche for ourselves when it comes to reporting about issues from the south, with a feminist approach and centering human rights.
The editorial team at The News Minute is one of the most diverse in the country, and one of our editorial policies is to platform the voices the society ignores.
While our core focus is current affairs, social issues, politics and governance, we also report on entertainment.
The app has a section for each south Indian state, and provides easy access to our Premium and video content. With Flix, we bring you the latest in the south Indian film industries, television serials and shows/movies streaming on OTT platforms as well.

Ratings and reviews

There seems to be a problem in the app, I will be pretty specific. So i subscribe to your news letters, whenever i open the link it goes to the app which is cool, however it won't show the article i clicked on instead it will show the last article i was reading on the app, how many ever times I try clicking on the link, it'll open the old stuff. Pretty annoying. Happy otherwise with the reporting, and a paying subscriber. Continue the good work!!

Everything seems great, except typography. Typically, serif fonts help with long-form reading. The font used in the article body seems more like a display font. There are a lot of great open source fonts available, such as the Source family by Adobe. The devs should probably look at these options. That'll make reading smoother.

At times there are proofreading errors which, as a reader, one is not able to report. I have sent a few such incidents to the mail id provided, however, no one got back to me. its dissapointing to see such errors creeping up every now and then.
