Have you ever tried going on a shopping spree for new fabrics (in physical stores or online), only to feel completely lost by not knowing exactly how you would use that nice-looking piece of fabric, and end up purchasing the wrong thing - or purchasing the right thing, but in the wrong quantity - or worse, still: Leaving empty-handed?

If your answer is "yes", then Sewing Patterns will be your indispensable companion in the future. The inspiration in the form of your pattern library is right at your fingertips, wherever you go, and you can easily make sure that you purchase the right fabric in the right quantity - and with the right accessories. The app also helps you find inspiration on how to best make use of your current stash of fabric.

The app lets you gain the perfect overview in a single place, whether your patterns are purchased, found in magazines, or your own creations entirely. You can categorize your patterns based from standard garment types, or create as many of your own categories as you like. You can have your patterns sorted alphabetically, by most recent usage, or in any particular order you like. Each pattern can be associated with as many categories as you wish.

It is entirely up to you how many details you want to register for your individual patterns, but the more details you supply, the more help you will find in the built-in filtering function. When browsing your patterns, only the filled-in information is shown, so you won't have to deal with lots of empy fields.

Using the camera, you can supply your pattern details with pictures of the model, the instructions, or perhaps of the finalized garments. You can add as many pictures and PDF files as you like, both for your categories and your patterns.
Use the Filter function if you need to search for a specific pattern in your pattern library, or just need inspiration for your next project, based on a specific piece of fabric.

Your Pattern collection is stored locally on your device, but you can backup and restore it via Google Drive.

In all aspects, Sewing Patterns is an indispensable app, for the experienced seamstress and the newcomer alike!

Fantastic app! One of the best purchases I've made as a sewist and the best app I've ever bought! Works well for embroidery patterns too. I've never encountered any bugs but I do wish it was more compatible with inches and yards by showing fractions of a yard instead of decimal points. I'd also like to be able to add notions the same way fabrics are added, such as 2 yds of 5/8" elastic. Units smaller than 1 in/1cm care currently not supported. I'd LOVE a desktop version.

I very rarely leave reviews for apps. However, I cannot recommend this app enough. It is a fantastic pattern app. I was using a previous app for years, but it was no longer being supported so I switched to this one last year. Ive been using it constantly for a year and have 700+ patterns on it. Recently, I was having an issue backing it up and was worried that I was going to lose all my pattern info. I emailed the developer who spent several days with me, trying different things to get it working again. We finally worked it out (permissions error on my end) and I didn't have to redo a single pattern. Great app, has a bunch of features and wonderful support. Highly recommend.

I like this app a lot. It's very helpful for organizing sewing patterns. I've been using it for about a year and have uploaded hundreds of patterns so I really hope it doesn't just disappear one day (like a previous sewing app I had used). Two minor complaints: after scrolling down through a pattern category and clicking on a pattern to view more closely and then going back to the pattern category, the app puts you back at the top of the pattern list instead of where you left off. So you have to scroll all the way down again to find where you left off. Second, it would be nice if you could add fabric information while uploading a new pattern and info. If I want to add fabric info to a pattern, I have to upload it, save it and then go back to find the fabric attribute section.
