Ratings and reviews

Teaches you nothing about pronunciation. You hear it, try to repeat it, and it provides no feedback, just right or wrong. It doesn't provide any feedback about how you're wrong or how to fix it, just "wrong." The learned helplessness has taught me how to give up. It has the potential to be a great app. Spend some time teaching specific vowel sounds, then move on to combinations of sounds, then words, the combinations of words, etc. Maybe don't start with full sentences. 🤷‍♂️

Good concept, inconsistent execution. I really wanted to like this app and it's got some good language content. However, as others have noted, its ability to recognize speech is inconsistent, even in ideal conditions and with perfect pronunciation. I had someone with a PhD in French / perfect enunciation speaking several of the phrases and the app indicated she hadn't spoken several words correctly. But above all, the customer service, what's the word I'm looking for, sucks!

The ai tutor doesn't work for me. Also, in the setting the streak flames say I have more than ten days. But at the end of each lesson the recap always says I have a streak of 2 days. I turned on reminders and notification permissions but I have yet to get any notification reminding me to practice! I like the functionality of the app otherwise, it's intuitive, smooth and actually helping me with useful vocab.
