This is a much needed app, in my opinion, which is why I'm sharing this feedback for improvement to reach its full potential. • A lot of times, lessons that are done show as locked when you come back in the app • The switch between the sexes of the speakers can be confusing – pronouns and actions • The narratives don't make a lot of sense in some lessons – not the worst, but it's worth mentioning because they start out as a story. • I'm unsure about some pronunciations. E.g., food and ten.

Thank you for the thoughtful feedback. We really appreciate it. The lesson lock issue can occur with network disruptions, and we’re working to reduce it. We’ll also review speaker switches and pronunciation accuracy with our language team. Your input helps us improve. For more details, feel free to email support@nkenneapp.com.

The reason I'm not giving this app a five star review is because you can't minimize the app and listen to it like an audio player. When you minimize it, it only plays for a brief period then stops playing. The developer should consider making the app to play continuously even after it has been minimized. Also it'll be nice to have a toggle button to keep the backlight on while you're in the app because currently one has to continue tapping on the screen repeatedly to keep the backlight on.

Thank you for your feedback. We have just released an update addressing the issues you mentioned. Audio now continues playing in the background when minimized, and a screen-on toggle has been added. Please test again — we used your comment to improve this, and we hope you will be pleased with the update.

Shoddy Version of Pimsleur, at least for French. First off, though, it's a grand undertaking to offer regional languages that are hard to find materials for--languages like Hausa and Somali are offered by this app. But what I have seen with the French program erodes my confidence in the quality and accuracy of what is taught. I'm only on Lesson 2 of the French. The transcript veers off of the recording dozens of times. The materials are incomplete. This could be solved with a simple review.
