App Description:
Flow Inventory is a barcode scanner for inventory and stock counting that writes every scan straight into a spreadsheet-style list – completely offline and without an account.

I actually developed this app for myself, and it’s turned out so good and convenient that I’d like to share it and make it available to other small businesses.

➡️ Hands-free batch scanning: just point the crosshair in the middle of the camera view at a barcode and it is entered into your inventory list – no typing, no tapping, no confirming. Only the code under the crosshair is taken. If you want manual control, you can allow scanning only while a volume key is held (down for product barcodes, up for serial number barcodes).
➡️ EAN + serial number: an optional second scan type for serial numbers. With your own filter rules (regex, fully customizable – e.g. serial numbers are longer or contain letters) the app tells product barcodes and serial numbers apart automatically and enters the serial number in the cell next to its barcode. Ideal for goods receipt and asset tracking.
➡️ Offline database lookup: import 2 CSV databases (your own item list + an optional supplier/manufacturer database) for instant item name, item number and supplier part number lookup, displayed right in the list. Duplicate matches are flagged.
➡️ Every scan documented: a timestamp is added to every scanned barcode in column D. Optionally the app also adds a GPS stamp and the file name of an automatic snapshot photo of the item, so you can later review the picture and location of every scanned item if needed.
➡️ Notes & OCR: add comments to every barcode in column G, either by hand or by OCR text scan, and take additional pictures whose file names are inserted into the selected cell.
➡️ Spreadsheet features: undo & redo, automatic copy & paste depending on whether you tap a filled or an empty cell, and multiple sheets – e.g. one per storage location, delivery or stocktake.
➡️ CSV export & autosave: export your inventory list as CSV for Excel, Google Sheets or your inventory management system, with automatic backups on your device.
➡️ All common barcode formats: EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC-A, UPC-E, Code 128, Code 39, Code 93, ITF, Codabar, QR code, Data Matrix, PDF417 and Aztec – at up to 4K resolution and 60 fps, with checksum validation and double-read confirmation against misreads.
➡️ 100% offline & private: no account, no cloud, no ads and no internet permission at all.

The app’s code was 100% written by AI (Gemini 3.5 Flash, GPT OSS 120b, Opus 4.6, Opus 4.8, Opus 5, Fable 5 a bit). Of course, I still put in many days of work to form the app as intended. And I also have some—albeit limited—understanding of programming.
As for security, I therefore had the app checked again by two additional AIs (Fable 5 and GPT 5.6 Sol) for security issues (such as errors or prompt injections of the AI) and fixed found problems.
As a basic security measure, the app does not enable the Internet permission in the manifest at all, so it is completely cut off from access.
