About this app

Got a Mac and an Android tablet? You already own a second screen. Codeyzer Screen turns your tablet into a second display for your Mac: plug in the cable and your screen appears on the tablet. No developer mode, no USB debugging.

Free during the open test.

▶ JUST PLUG IN THE CABLE
• Plug-and-play USB (Android Open Accessory): approve the prompt on the tablet the first time, with no ADB to install
• Tunes itself to your tablet when it connects: stream and frame rate are set automatically
• Works wirelessly too: finds your Mac on the same Wi-Fi network by itself. Wi-Fi is fine for everyday work; for video and fast motion the cable is smoothest (with the Mac on Ethernet, Wi-Fi gets close)

▶ SHARP, SMOOTH PICTURE
• Up to 2.8K and 120 Hz with 10-bit color, if your tablet supports it (HDR10 or compatible HLG)
• Hardware-accelerated encoding that is easy on your Mac's processor

▶ USE YOUR MAC FROM THE TABLET
• By touch: scroll with your finger, pinch to zoom, long-press to right-click; three fingers to see all your windows (Mission Control)
• With a pen: the cursor follows the pen as it hovers; pressure and tilt (in apps that support them), eraser tip, side button for right-click, palm rejection
• With a keyboard: external and folio keyboards work one-to-one; the on-screen keyboard opens by itself when you tap a text field and shows your Mac's layout (ANSI/ISO/JIS)
• With a folio touchpad: Mac trackpad gestures — Spaces and Mission Control move with your fingers

▶ AND MORE
• Sound from the tablet's speakers: each tablet becomes its own sound output in macOS (a small audio driver is installed on the Mac once)
• Portrait mode: turn the tablet and your Mac's display turns with it
• More than one tablet: each one is a separate display, by cable or Wi-Fi
• Lid closed: the tablet becomes your main display, and you use it by touch
• Each tablet is recognized as its own display on your Mac: resolution, arrangement and HDR preference are kept for that tablet
• Away from home: through your own Tailscale account, all from inside the app (smoothness depends on the connection in between)

🔒 PRIVACY
Picture, sound and control input flow only between your Mac and your tablet. No account, no ads, no advertising ID — only anonymous usage statistics.

🛠 REQUIREMENTS

What’s new

Your tablet's microphone and front camera now appear on your Mac as devices you can pick in apps like Zoom or QuickTime. Both turn on only when an app on your Mac uses them, and permission is asked at that moment. Controllers: left and right motors rumble separately, and Xbox One/Series controllers get trigger rumble over USB. Announcement notifications added. Please update the Mac app to 1.5.2 as well (required).
