About this game

The KOSMOS Helper App is your digital companion for many KOSMOS games. Learn new games without reading the rules, get support during play, and discover digital extras that make your game experience even better

Note: This app is a companion to the popular games by KOSMOS. The app is usually not compatible with Chromebooks.

Features:
*** Animated tutorials ***
Whether it's game night with friends, a family round, or your first try at a new game: the app's fully voiced, animated tutorials let you start playing right away, without reading the rules!

*** Extra features ***
Digital extras add useful features to selected games, such as timers, score counters, soundtracks, reference guides and read-aloud functions, for even more fun.

*** Hybrid game experiences ***
Selected hybrid games combine the best of the analog and digital worlds. Here the app does more than just support you: it becomes a key part of the game itself.

Ratings and reviews

The app opened with the tutorial for how to use the app then was just blank. No games, no catalog. Search feature did nothing. The app had a small red wi-fi symbol at the bottom of the page that was crossed out. Checked but nothing was wrong with my wi-fi on the device nor any permissions manager for the app. I just used my clock app stopwatch and a Spotify playlist for the game. The game was fun, though (even though they tried having us rip up pieces -- we made our own reusable pieces).

We thought the game was very hard to follow and some of the accessories were difficult to work with (the cube and the skull/sliding number keys). The card system was unnecessarily confusing and time consuming and required you to place the cards back in order when you were just going to have to throw the game away after playing anyway. Other escape games I've played allow for me to give it to someone else, who can play the game after we do. Excessive waste in this game, for little reward.

Updated feedback: 5 stars! I must congratulate the Helper App team on their outstanding customer service. Their prompt reply saying they would look into the issue was followed by an app update correcting the issues just a few days later. They didn't leave me hanging, and they were quick! Thank you! Previous feedback: "Timer doesn't run, and home button on upper right corner doesn't work. That goes for all exit game content I download. I have an up to date S24 Plus, app is also up to date."
