Google voice search is required for speech to text functionality to work. Most devices come with it pre-installed. If you don't want to use the speech recognition functions, the app is still fully functional without it.

App is great. Everyone needs to stop hating. Sure it has problems but the real problem is your phones. And maybe you should look at the rating before downloading it. It has a 2.8. What do you expect

Great app. I only used the tts but it worked perfectly, the UI is a tiny bit buggy but it does the job.
