Nexus Driver is the app for drivers on the Nexus mobility platform in Dakar. It connects each driver with customers and the Operations team, from the ride request to payment.
JOIN THE PLATFORM
• Log in via phone number, confirmed by an SMS code: no password to remember.
• Three-step registration: photo, driver's license and ID card, terms of service.
• Your profile is verified by Operations; once activated, the app opens to your dashboard.
RECEIVE RIDE TICKETS
• One button to go online; the app first checks that everything is ready (location, notifications, documents, vehicle).
• Each request displays the official price, pickup area, distance, destination area, the customer's first name, and the intended payment method.
• 60 seconds to accept or decline; a decline is accompanied by a reason. • Operations can also assign you a ride directly, and the next ride can be announced during the current ride.
NAVIGATE
• Integrated map: route to the customer and then to the destination, remaining time and distance.
• Open the route in your preferred navigation app if you wish.
• Call the customer and Operations with a single tap.
• Free waiting time deducted upon arrival; no-shows can be reported on-site.
• Important steps are confirmed by swiping to avoid errors.
CASH AND TRACK YOUR EARNANCES
• The payment screen displays the official amount: cash or mobile money.
• Receipts, number of rides, time online, and cash balance, per day, week, or month.
• Detailed history of each ride.
YOUR SAFETY
• Emergency button always accessible: call emergency services and immediately alert Operations with your location. • Reporting an incident, accident, or issue with a customer, with supporting photos.
• Reporting a vehicle problem and submitting support requests, with follow-up.
DESIGNED FOR THE GROUND
• Trip steps remain possible without a network connection: they are sent as soon as the connection is restored.
• Available in French, English, and Arabic; light or dark theme.
Your location is only shared when you are online or on a trip, never offline.
Nexus Driver is reserved for drivers who are partners of the Nexus platform. An account must be validated by Operations before the first trip.
