About this app

Hear a word. Type what you hear. Check the spelling. Lexicon gives word dictation and spelling practice a place in your day, whether you have time for a few words or a longer session.

LISTEN AND SPELL
Replay the spoken word whenever you need another listen. Enter your answer and check it before moving on. When you miss a word, compare your spelling with the correct answer and see the letter-by-letter feedback.

PRACTISE IN SIX LANGUAGES
Choose English, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese or Japanese. Each language has its own saved progress, history and words to revisit. Built-in word sets offer Easy, Medium and Hard difficulties.

CHOOSE WHAT TO REVISIT
Set your session size from the available options. Normal practice draws from the selected word set. Review brings back words that need another attempt; Reinforce revisits words you have answered correctly. Each mode depends on the words available in that language.

PICK UP WHERE YOU LEFT OFF
Unfinished practice is saved on your device, including your current word and answers. Resume it from Home. Completed sessions stay in your history so you can return to their results. Follow your accuracy, words practised, streaks and progress by difficulty.

A PRACTICE SPACE ON YOUR DEVICE
No Lexicon account is required. Word sets and practice records are stored locally. Spoken playback uses Android text-to-speech and needs a matching voice installed on your device. Download an offline voice in Android's speech settings to practise without a connection. Choose light, dark or system appearance.

ACCESS
Start with the daily session allowance shown in the app. Optional lifetime access removes that limit with a one-time purchase, without a recurring subscription. Google Play purchase verification and restore require a connection.
