The extensions you already use
Vivaldi on Android works with extensions, so what you rely on at your computer works on your phone. Keep Desktop site enabled while browsing the store. Not every extension is compatible with a mobile browser.

Ad blocking and tracker blocking, on by default
Vivaldi's free built-in Ad Blocker removes pop-ups and ads, and the Tracker Blocker stops companies following you from site to site. Nothing to install, nothing to configure, nothing to pay for. Open the Privacy Dashboard on any page to see exactly what was blocked there.

Private browsing that leaves nothing behind
Private tabs keep searches, links, visited sites, cookies and temporary files off your device. Cookie banners are dismissed for you. WebRTC leak protection keeps your real IP address hidden. Browsing data can clear itself every time you exit, and you decide what goes. A secure, private browser shouldn't be a paid upgrade, and here it isn't.

Ratings and reviews

Been testing this out to compare with Firefox since it's missing a few features I want. I'm impressed with how well it handles websites when my phone Android computer is plugged in to a secondary display, it's a bit glitchy with some web apps but much better than Firefox. I also love that the ad blocker is built in. I've been done with Google Chrome for a while cuz of the trashy ads experience, but trying to figure out how alternatives compare. The UI could use some work, but it's decent.

Extensions: not working. "I absolutely love vivaldi. I really only have 2 gripes; 1 is the look of the speed dials I wish they were more like opera's. And the option to allow media to play when minimized will not stay selected. Ever since the recent update. If the media in background is fixed I'll change my review to 5 stars." It's been fixed it might have been user error bc as soon as I enabled notifications it fixes the issues. I hope this helps anyone else going through the same issues.

Browser works great mostly, but twice in the last week it has closed all of my tabs. Like most people, I keep a lot of tabs open for later use, sometimes for longer than a few weeks, at which point they no longer appear in my history. Songs I wanted to look at later, research into something, items to purchase, etc. I am not sure what caused it, I assumed a mistake the first time, but now that it happened again I'm afraid I need to change browsers. edit: the tabs are not in recent/inactive.
