Great App, but recently the frequency of ads has increased so that I end up getting one after every single lesson. The Premium version is simply not affordable for everyone, and the recent uptick in ad frequency is making it extremely difficult to use the app effectively with a free subscription. The ads were fine before (one after every 3 or so lessons) but it seems like Duolingo is taking a page out of YouTube's book now to encourage people to pay. The app is still good, hence 3 stars.

So after extensive usage, I have had to edit my review, the problem with this app is that there is no actual AUDIBLE conversational tutoring. It's great for learning vocabulary, but there are no challenges which actually teach you to speak the language, at least not after using for three months. The lessons are more like puzzles where you just have to pick the right answer from a selection, and without the opportunity to actually practice your OWN speaking you will never advance much further.

Talk about an app that provides a large variety of teaching methods, languages and preferences. Duoling is also more like a support system,always there to motivate you with such cliche quotes 😂I love it. I definitely recommend this app for both beginners and those who would like to strengthen their understanding and speaking. It's a 5 🌟 from me.
