This is still good I downloaded it for a trial and now I'm getting hooked on it and already considering buying the pro version. 1. Easy to learn new words and to test myself 2. Very good layout. Things to improve: changing the theme to a growing garden rather than a space mission, especially since you refer a lot to seeds 2. Have a brief tutorial on the use of the app, it's full of features that I keep randomly discovering. Over all,a great app that is worth purchasing the pro version of.
The app does a great job of mixing both visual and audio learning. It has a blend of flashcards, spelling, and audio recognition to help the learning process. It makes sure to keep track of what words you are having trouble with, so you can revisit them until they are not a problem. Even without paying money, this app was a great help in my college Japanese courses when learning the vocabulary. If youre using the Genki book series, they even have vocab specific to that ciriculum... Which is great for when you realize ten minutes before class you didnt learn any of the words you were supposed to.
Yes yes yes! This app is great at helping you learn vocabulary. It does however throw the whole "want more? Get the pro version" deal at you every once in a while so it gets kinda annoying, but if I had the money to invest in the pro version I would definitely go for it.
I started learning with Duolingo which seemed like a better way to learn both grammar and vocabulary at the same time. But Duolingo does not offer European Portuguese so I switched to Memrize. Memrize seems to include more slang and does not include vocabulary at the early sessions, but it goes quickly.
I love Memrise as a way to learn French vocab. It's fun and the gamification makes me want to practice every day. I'm loving the new Secret Agent levels as I enjoy the challenge of having to understand and respond in French. I was wondering if there are currently only the intro and First Contacts or is there more? I've finish French 1 and I'm in French 2, but I'm loving practising in those levels :)
Great app - real spoken language trumps computer generated language. Only 2 thing I'd ask the developers to add: 1) keep my streak across courses and 2) please randomize the words per level. When I'm really in the zone it gets tedious to cover the same (max 10) words per lesson over and over again.
