Android version of the desktop file manager Total Commander (www.ghisler.com).

About the new permission "SuperUser":
This permission is now requested to make Total Commander work better on rooted devices. It tells the SuperUser app that Total Commander supports root functions. It has no effect if your device is not rooted. Root functions allow Total Commander to write to system folders like /system or /data. You will be warned before anything is written if the partition is write protected.

Ratings and reviews

The best file explorer overall, bar none. Drag n drop is awesome. I find myself using the built in music player a lot! The only thing I don't like is the limited support when, it comes to managing archives. For that one reason I still keep RAR on my phone. If the dev adds better support in that area I will uninstall RAR and forever use this one. I also think the built in text editor is very useful. I always download this on friends' phones when I need to help them because IT JUST WORKS!

Due to Androids apparent policy changes, I couldn't access data folders on my phone, meaning that some files that I downloaded would be inaccessible to me. Thanks to this app, I managed to access all those files, I'm so ecstatic. I had to figure out a few things (like how to cut and paste files, etc.), but all in all this app has been great!

Needs some interface improvement. How about removing the navigation bar on the right so that I can instead use swipe to change panels? I can't remove it right now. Also need to be able to customise thumbnail dimensions for min, max, etc. and be constrained by its column. At the moment it misaligns the filenames. Also need to be able to adjust columns shown and their size and position. Also, needs to share selected files with other apps e.g. whatsapp. Other than that, I really like the the functionality and options for plugins. One of the best file managers for Android.
