I actually came from the "other Windy" app. Both are pretty similar, although I like that the other one shows all the data (wind, swell, etc.) on one screen. The only thing this one is really missing is tide data. Sunrise and sunset times would be nice to have as well. I do like that this app has access to weather radar and webcams though.

The app itself is great, but I'm having an issue with the widget not loading. It keeps saying battery usage restricted, but the app has permission to run in the background and no restrictions on battery usage, so not sure what the issue is. It's quite frustrating having to refresh the widget all the time just to see the weather. Then there's no point in the widget. Can someone help me with this?

I have regularly used this service for more than 10 years (initially on PC through web interface). It is still one of the most informative weather services around. The graphical views of different weather systems ensure that the reason for the wind and changes in weather can be better comprehended. i can highly recommend this app!
