mCheckbook is a manual checkbook and expense ledger for people who want to know what they have recorded, what has cleared, and what still needs checking. Start with an account balance, add your entries, and build a routine you can understand.
KEEP YOUR ACCOUNTS IN VIEW
Organize checking, savings, cash and credit accounts. Record income, expenses and transfers between accounts in the same currency. See recorded, cleared and pending amounts separately. Future entries stay visible without changing today's balance.
MAKE EVERY BALANCE ADD UP
Mark entries cleared and reconcile an account against a statement. Keep payees, categories, notes and check numbers together. Search your history or select dates in the calendar to find the details you need.
SPEND LESS TIME ON REPEATED ENTRY
Create daily, weekly, biweekly, monthly, quarterly or yearly schedules. Due entries are recorded once when you open the app with active access. Pause, edit or remove a schedule as your routine changes.
UNDERSTAND YOUR RECORDS
Explore income and spending by category, account and date. Use readable charts and separate currency totals. Supported currencies are USD, EUR, GBP, CAD, AUD and CHF; mCheckbook does not convert currencies.
KEEP CONTROL OF YOUR DATA
Your ledger works offline without a bank login. Export CSV, QIF or an HTML statement. Import a validated CSV, save a complete JSON backup, or restore your own backup with local recovery. Optional email-account cloud backups are manual snapshots, not continuous synchronization. An optional device-authentication lock helps keep the app private.
ACCESS AND SUBSCRIPTIONS
A seven-day app preview starts automatically the first time you open mCheckbook. It needs no card and never charges or renews automatically. After it ends, creating or editing ledger content, importing CSV entries and using yearly/custom report ranges requires an active monthly or yearly subscription.
Reading and searching saved records, exporting, restoring your own backups, recovering data and removing records remain available after access ends. Any eligible store introductory offer is separate from the app preview and starts only after you confirm a subscription with the store. Prices, introductory eligibility and renewal terms are shown before purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled in your store settings.
mCheckbook records the information you enter. It does not connect to banks, move money, provide investment advice or guarantee your actual bank balance.
