🔐 Accessibility, Account & Data Disclosure (Required)
AccessibilityService Usage

Focus Shield uses Android’s AccessibilityService API to enable app blocking features.

The Accessibility service is used to:

Detect which app is currently open

Block access to user-selected apps

Display a blocking screen when restricted apps are launched

Focus Shield does NOT read screen content, record keystrokes, or monitor personal activity. All Accessibility processing occurs locally on the device.

Accessibility permission is optional, disabled by default, and enabled only by the user.

Accounts & Cloud Services

Focus Shield uses Firebase services to provide secure accounts and cloud-based features, including:

Account creation and login using Google or Apple

Secure storage of focus sessions and preferences

Push notifications for reminders and alerts

Live chat messaging with support agents

Privacy Commitment

Only necessary account information (such as email and user ID) is used

Chat messages are used only for support communication

No personal or sensitive data is sold or shared with third parties

All data is handled securely using Firebase and Google infrastructure

Focus Shield also uses Usage Access and Overlay permissions to function correctly. Ads may be displayed to support development.
