North American Spine Society (NASS) is a global multidisciplinary medical organization dedicated to fostering the highest quality, ethical, value-based and evidence-based spine care through education, research and advocacy.
It is committed to sustaining a multidisciplinary membership of health care providers who are dedicated to excellence in the field of spine care. NASS develops continuing medical educational programs to improve physician and other spine care health provider competency and enhances performance through a comprehensive range of topics. It provides peer-reviewed scientific and evidence-based clinical publications for surgical, medical, and diagnostic spine care as well as coding and patient safety resources such as coverage recommendations, clinical guidelines, EBM training, and professionalism and disclosure references.
NASS also addresses issues related to spine research, including the funding of grants and traveling fellowships, and elevates the voices of spine care providers, expands access to care, and challenges the legislative hurdles facing spine patients and providers.
Committees, sections and task forces are essential to the work that NASS does to influence the future of spine care. Through committee work, members can stay on the cutting edge of the field, develop connections with other leaders in spine care, and participate in work that relates to their areas of interest and expertise.
