Here comes Browser Popup Detector:
It is a browser hijack detection app helps you catch the culprit of randomly browser ad pop-ups.
It is also an adblock browser blocks banner and video ads.
Prerequisite:
Uninstall other third-party browsers and disable all system browsers. Only keep 'Browser Popup Detector' as the only one browser on your phone. (This step cannot skip, because malicious apps can specify whatever browser they want to launch, Browser Popup Detector cannot catch the URL if it opens in other browsers.)
How it works:
1. Indicate the browser is opened by which app by displaying its name and icon so you can easily identify.
2. Click the app info will directly jump to the app details page.
3. Uninstall the app to terminate the browser ad pop-ups!

This app found my problem within 20 minutes. After unsuccessfully trying numerous anti-virus/malware apps, this one found my problem. I was having adds and pop-up's open in new tabs while the phone was sitting on the charger. I disabled Chrome in the hopes was just the browser, then the same thing happened in the Samsung browser. Found this app, disabled all other browsers and an ad came up in this browser and told me which app opened it. I deleted that app and got rid of the problem. đź‘Ťđź‘Ť

Downloaded to try and determine which app was causing my browser to open on its own; got told to uninstall/disable my other browsers in order for it to detect any browser hijack. Unsure why this wasn't developed to use with multiple browsers; seems like a waste of time.

Hi. Because the app can specify which browser it wants to launch if you have multi web browsers enabled. That's why you need to uninstall/disable other browsers first.

This helped me identify which app was infected with a pop up/malware, one of my apps kept launching my browser to redirect sites, tried antivirus, clearing Google chrome data etc.. nothing worked, i found this and within 10 min it showed me which app launched it. A great little app
