About this app

The ViviFil App has been developed as a motivation and guide tool for carrying out a physical exercise program aimed at older adults. The Vivifil program, with a total of 35 exercises, is adapted to different levels of the user's physical condition. The App provides descriptions of how to perform the exercises correctly, along with animations and explanatory videos, where the movement to be performed and the number of series and repetitions to be performed are clear. For some exercises, the use of elastic bands is recommended to increase the force to be performed.

There are two modes of access to the App: one to be used by the participant in the exercise program, and another mode to act as a supervisor of the participant's activity. The supervisor chooses the start of the exercise program, which lasts 8 weeks, but once completed it can be repeated as many times as necessary. The App is designed to be very easy to use by the participant. The participant is allowed to see and share the progress made with their supervisor (doctor, family member, etc...) who will accompany them during the process.

This App is the result of several research projects in the health sector (Gait2care and INDRI), with functionality designed by CSIC researchers, and experts in the world of geriatrics from several Spanish reference hospitals, and where the programs exercises have been made specifically for this ViviFil program by doctors in the field of physical activity and sports.

Recommended app, for use by geriatric units in hospitals, residences, day care or senior centers, or even for use by individuals who want to improve their physical condition. The App itself includes download links to the App's user manuals, which are also available at the following link: https://www.gait2care.es/descargas/. The manuals include links to recommended elastic bands.

Its use is completely free and does not contain ads, nor does it collect personal data, except for those strictly necessary for access and monitoring of the activity carried out.
