We are also able to decode DTMF tones using Goertzel Algorithm which is used for detecting if specific frequencies are present audio. It has been most commonly used to detect DTMF(aka Touch-tone) in telephony.

Great for its purpose. Only one issue: in tone detector, the stop button doesn't un-press after being pressed, so if you want to stop detecting multiple times, you have to close and re-open the app. Other than that, pretty good.

I tried this app to use touch tone to dial out on a land line over a rotary phone. The tones are good quality and work consistantly when manually dialing. When using "play" to dial the whole number at once, the tones sound aweful and harsh and the pbx does not pick up anything and the dial tone does not go away. Please make the "play" tones sound exactly like when you push each number manually.

just a perfect app - does what it says, doesn't get in the way.
